We treat craft mess as a materials problem. Slime is polymer, play-dough is salt and flour, glue is adhesive, and glitter is plastic confetti. Each needs a different first move.

Fresh slime on fabric should be scraped, not pressed. If it has set, we cool the spot with an ice pack so it firms up and lifts in a piece, then treat the residue with a diluted white vinegar solution or an enzyme-based cleaner and extract with hot water.
Slime colour can leave a tint on light cloth. We treat dye separately once the polymer is out, so the stain does not spread.
Leather and vinyl are easier than cloth, since slime sits on the surface. A damp microfibre and mild cleaner usually does it, followed by conditioner so the leather does not dry out.
Play-dough crumbles when dry, which is easier than it sounds. We let it dry slightly, break it loose with a plastic scraper and a stiff brush, then vacuum the fragments from stitching and seat tracks.
What remains is usually salt and oil. A warm extraction pass lifts that, and a steam pass on plastic edges finishes the job. Kinetic sand and real clay follow the same logic but need more vacuuming.
Seat tracks and the gap beside the console are favourite hiding spots. We pull seats forward and back to reach them and use a crevice tool and air to clear the rails.
Craft mess often ends up on harness straps and buckles. We do not use harsh chemicals or soak straps; instead we wipe with mild soap and water, as car seat makers advise, and leave anything that looks damaged for you to check against the manual.
We can remove the seat, clean beneath it, and reinstall it, but you should recheck the fit afterward.
Cup holders and door pockets in the back row collect the rest. We soak them out with warm water and a brush, then dry them to prevent odour.
Glitter is the hardest to fully remove. Expect to find stray flecks for weeks, even after thorough work, because it travels with airflow. Washable kids' paint usually lifts with warm water, while permanent paint is another story and may need a stain treatment.
